"After experiencing an emergency C-section and postpartum challenges, Megan’s availability and flexibility in coming to me for postnatal massage helped me relax and heal in my own space. Megan is a gifted, intuitive massage therapist who knows how to care for moms, and perinatal self-care isn’t a luxury . . . It’s a necessity.”

FAQs

How does In-Home massage work?

I bring everything I need to work on you. All you have to do is provide a space large enough for me to set up my massage table. If you want to listen to your own music or have silence, that is completely fine, otherwise I can provide music to facilitate relaxation. Children and pets are welcome as long as they do not distract you from achieving rest. Most clients choose a time in the evening, before bed, so they can fall asleep immediately following the session. Choosing a space that offers privacy and quiet is the most beneficial for in-home therapy. The best part is, there will be no driving required on your part, as you will remain in the comfort of your own home.

What do I wear?

After a short consultation, I leave the room, and you will disrobe to your comfort level. During the session, you will be covered by sheets and a blanket. I will undrape the part of the body I am working on, and recover it when I move on.

How often should I receive massages?

For a client with no acute or chronic injury, I recommend at least once a month for maintenance. I would come up with a specific plan for those with more severe issues. If you are wanting a more thorough full body massage, a 90 minute session would be the best length. Those clients only looking for focus in a certain injured area could suffice with a 60 min session. I will suggest the best treatment length during booking.

What types of products do you use?

Supporting your health includes making conscientious decisions about the products you put on your body. All the oils and aromatherapy I use are organic and free of fragrance. Likewise, the cleaning products I use on my linens and table are hypoallergenic and free of dyes or fragrance.
